Moolah Mallow Initiative Program Description The Moolah Mallow Initiative, a project of the RainyDay Foundation, offers a unique work opportunity for low-income women who choose to face life’s challenges and take action to alter their economic future. While working in our kitchen, participants will gain first-hand experience in each stage of the Moolah Mallow product production cycle. Although their primary task is converting simple ingredients into visually charming, delectable confections, participants will develop life skills that have broad applicability in a variety of occupations, as well as at home. Some of their duties will seem familiar and routine. Other tasks will challenge their creative mind at the same time their analytic thoughts are stretched into an uncomfortable zone. Throughout the three month program, each team of participants will have a dedicated coach to help them develop appropriate responses to every unexpected situation. Participants will be guided toward increasing levels of responsibility, rotating team leadership during the final month of their commitment. After completing our program, select graduates will be invited to continue employment as production leads, volunteer coordinators, development assistants, or other mentoring and leadership positions. Our Commitment to Each Participant: 1. Create an enriching environment that allows them to flourish. 2. Provide tools and define techniques for handling each assigned task. 3. Support their personal development through patient nudging. Send letters of interest to
