Our ideal employee:

 

Candidates:                Women

 

Age:                              Eighteen years or older

 

Span Time:                 Twenty hours a week for three months

 

Schedule:                    Monday through Friday, 4-8pm. 

                                        In addition, all participants must  work the Civic

                                        Center Market on Wednesday, 10:30am to

                                        2:30pm

 

Where:                          Denver Inner City Parish, 1212 Mariposa St.,

                                        Denver, CO 80204

 

Compensation:          Starting wage $7.50 per hour with a graduation

                                        bonus bringing it up to $9/hour worked

 

Requirements:           Non-smoker, trustworthy, strong work ethic,

                                        legal

 

Pre-requisites:           Easily communicates (reading, writing, oral)

                                       in English

 

The Moolah Mallow Initiative training program includes:

 

      Functional:            Candy making, including reading, modifying a

                                        recipe, measurement fractions and 

                                        conversion; environmental health

                                        requirements for food handling;

                                        sanitation, personal hygiene, kitchen

                                        equipment use and safety; production 

                                        schedule management

      Skills:                      Consumer relations, marketing, distribution,

                                        supply ordering, process management, sales,

                                        cashiering, personnel supervision, payroll,

                                        recordkeeping, and administration

      Financial:               Employee benefits including: retirement plans,

                                        health care coverage, life insurance, 

                                        beneficiary designations, cafeteria plans, 

                                        health savings accounts; income taxes, FICA, 

                                        exemption allowance, personal budgeting, 

                                        needs/wants-spend plan, debt reduction, 

                                        property insurance, credit score, privacy 

                                        protection, predatory lending, lease/buy,

                                        borrowing, foreclosure, banking and 

                                        cash flow management; Last Wills, 

                                        medical directives, guardianship,

                                        durable powers of attorney

 

Graduation:                 Students who demonstrate competency in all

                                        disciplines will earn a Certificate of Completion

 

Job Placement:         Graduates will receive job placement
